San Gimignano & Elsa Valley

"Monteriggioni, di torri si corona" wrote Dante Alighieri in his Divine Comedy. The Elsa valley is crowned by towers!!!

In San Gimignano - UNESCO site - it is still possible to admire the medieval house tower, inhabited by rich merchants who made trades using the famous "Via Francigena", the pilgrimage route
